Incorporation by Reference of <br /> Provisions of Article V. of Sewage and Waste <br /> Control Rules and Regulations for the Metro- <br /> politan Disposal System. It shall be unlawful <br /> to discharge any waste$ or cause or allow any <br /> wastesto be discharged into the municipal <br /> sanitary sewer system of the City of Arden <br /> Hills which do not comply with the waste dis- <br /> cnarge regulations and limitations on such <br /> discharges set forth in Sections 5-3 and 5-4 <br /> of Article V. of the Sewage and Waste Control <br /> Rules and Regulations for the Nietropolitan <br /> Disposal System, dated Decenber 1, 1971, as <br /> now in effect and as hereafter amendeci, whieh <br /> provisions are incorporated anct adopted herein <br /> by reference and at least one (1) copy of said <br /> Rules and Regulations shall be marked as the <br /> official copy of the City of Arden Hills and <br /> filed in the office of the Cleric-Administra.tor. <br /> Subdivision B. Grease, Oil and Sand Interceptors <br /> or Traps. To ensure the pr.oper disCharge of <br /> waste containing excessive aRiounts of grease, oil <br /> or sand, the City Plumbing Inspector may require <br /> that grease, oil and sand traps or interceptors <br /> be provicied, which traps or interceptors shall <br /> comply in all respects with the requirements set <br /> forth in MHD126 of the iviinnesota Plumbing Cide, <br /> as cited herein in Section 5., Subdivision A. <br /> hereof; provided, however, that such traps or <br /> interceptors shall not be required for private <br /> dwellinq units which discharge on1y normal wastes <br /> therefrom. Such traps or interceptors shall be. <br /> maintained by the owner, at his expense, and sha.ll <br /> be regularly cleaned and maintained for adequate <br /> performance and efficient operation at all times. <br /> Any subsequent alterations or additions to such <br /> traps or interceptors shall not be made without <br /> due notice to and approval by the City Plumbin, <br /> Inspector. <br /> Siibciivision C. Discharge of Industrial Waste <br /> Subject to Procedures and Requirements of lvletro- <br /> politan Sewer Board. With respect to the dis- charye or potential discharge of "industrial <br /> waste", which for purposes of this Ordinance is <br /> defined as any solid, liquid, or gaseous waste, <br /> including cooling water, resulting from any <br /> industrial or manufacturing process or from the <br /> development, recovery or processing of natural <br /> reseurces, the discharger or potential discharger <br /> of suciz industrial waste shall be ssbject to the. <br /> requireirients and procedures of the Nletropolitan <br /> Sewer Board set forth in Sections 5-9 through <br /> 5-14 of Article V. of the Sewage and C;faste Control <br /> Rules and Regulations for the Metropolitan Dis- <br /> posal System, as cited herein in Subdivision A. <br /> of this Section 6., and shall obtain the approval <br /> of the Chief Administrator of the Metropolitan <br /> Disposal System of plans and specifications for <br /> any and all facilities to be used in discharging <br /> such industrial waste, including meters and <br /> sa.inpling facilities (if required), prior to <br /> construction and installation of sucYi facilities; <br /> provided, however, that the City Engineer shall <br /> ~ ~ ~ ~ <br />
