<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> COUNTY QF RAMSEY <br /> ~ VxLLA.GE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, 93, <br /> THE BUILDING CODE, BX PROVIDING FOR DESIGN <br /> OF CERTAIN BUILDINGS BY REGISTERED ARCHITECTS <br /> OR EPdGINEERS, REQUIRING PEP.FORNIANCE BONDS IN CERTAIN <br /> CASES, A.ND IMPOSING ADDITIONAL REQUIRENIENTS ON CONSTRUCTION ' <br /> OF MULTIPLE-FANILY DWELLINGS. <br /> <br /> The Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills does hereby ordain as <br /> <br /> follows ; <br /> Section 1. Amendment of the Building Code - Section 301. Sec. 301 of th <br /> ~ <br /> Uniform Building Code, adopted by reference as a part of the Building Code of <br /> <br /> the Village of Arden Hills, Ordinance No. 93, is hereby amended to substitute <br /> <br /> paragraph (c) as hereinafter set forth for paragraph (c) as it reads at <br /> present; and to add thereto paragraph (e) as hereinafter set forth. Amended <br /> <br /> paragraphs (c) and (e) shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> (c) Plans and Specifications. With each application <br /> f or a building permit, and when required by the <br /> Building Official for enforcement of any pro- <br /> visions of this Code, two sets of plans and speci- <br /> fications shall be submitted. <br /> EXCEPTIONS; When authorized by the <br /> Building Official plans and sp.ecif%cations <br /> need not be submitted for the falLawing: <br /> 1. One-story buildings of Type V con- <br /> ventional wood-stud construction with <br /> an area not exceeding six hundred square <br /> feet (600 sq. ft.), <br /> 2. Group ,T, Division 1, Occupancies of <br /> Type V conventional wood-stud constr.uction; <br /> 3. Small and un.important work, <br /> (e) Design by Architect or Engineer Required, No <br /> building permit shall be issued for any construction <br /> unless the plans and specifications therefor indicate <br /> by sCamp thereon that they have bee.n prepared or de- t <br /> signed by an architect or e,ngineer registered by the <br /> State of Minnesota in accordance with the Minnesota <br /> Statutes, Sections 326.02 to 326.16, inclusive, <br /> as amended.
