NOS. 49,141 AND 153; PROV I DI NG A NEW BASIS FOR CALCULATING SEWER CHARGES ON NONRESIDENTIAL PROPERTY: CHANGING BILLING DATES AND DELINQUENCY PROVISIONS: AND PERMITTING REDUCTION OF RATES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS OR DISABLED CITIZENS. The Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills tloes hereby ortlain as follows: Section 1. Amendmentof Section 11(A) (5) af Ord. No., 49, as Amended by Ord. No. 141, Re Sewer Charges. f M' Section 11(a) (5) of Ord. No. 49, relating to the charges in the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System, previously ~ V! amended by Ord. No. 141, is hereby amended in its entirety To read as follows: (5) The charge for sewer sTructures connected To the - Arden Hills Municipal Sanitary Sewer System and not included within the foregoing ca}egories shall be at the raTe of $0.63 per 1000 gallons consumed on the subject premises during the preceding quarTer. In the event That properTy within the category described in This Paragraph (5) ls connected to the sanitary sewer system and no water usage basis for the preceding quarter is available, as wilf be the case wiih new con- sTruciion, Then the sewer rate charge for such property shall be based on the eslimaTed waTer usage of such property as made by the Clerk-AdminislraTor after consulfaTion with the Arden Hills Supervisor of Public . Works, with such determinaTion to be made on the basis of iheir best iudgment with respecT To similar usages in Arden Hills and elsewhere. In no event, however, shall any property connected to the Municipal Sanitary Sewer SysTem be charged less Than the rate charged a single-family residence as provided in Paragraph (1) hereof. SecTion 2, Amendment of Section 11(B) of Ord. No. 49, as Amended by Ord. No. 141, Re Billing Dates. Section . 71( B) of Ord. No. 49, amended by Ord. No. lAl, is hereby amended To require billing of sewer charges for the preceding quarferly period on the 20th days of Jenuary, April, July and October of each year, rafher than the STh as provided in Ord. No. 141. Sectian 3. Amendment of Section 11(C) of Ord. No. 49, as Amended bv Ord. No. 153, Re Delinquency Penalties. Section 11(C) of Ord. No. 49, previousty amended by Ortl. No. 141 and Ord. No. 153, is hereby amended to subsTitute the following table regarding effective dates of delinquency penalties: Forihelsiquarter June30 For the 2nd quarter SepTember 30 ForThe3rdquarter December30 For the 4ih quarier March 30 Section 4. Permissible Retluctions for Senior Citizens and Disabled Citizens. The Council may, by resolution at its reasonable discretion, provide for reduced charges for usage of the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System in cases of ownership or occupancy of the subjecT property by ciTizens 65 years of age or older or by ciTizens who are toTally disabled within the meaning of Social SecuriTy regulations. SecTion S. EffecTive Date. This ordinance shall be effective from and afTer the first day of January, 1973, buT noT before iTs passaqe and publication.
