<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> QRDINANCE N0. 254 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, I?ItFISION 2, SECTIONS 5-46(A) <br /> 5-47(b), 5-59, AND 5-61 OF ARDEId HILLS CODE <br /> AUTHORIZING POUNDKEEPER TO ISBUE DOG LICENSES, AND <br /> ALLOWING REDEMPTION QF DOGS WITHIN FIVE BUSINESS DAYS <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Arden Hills hereby ordains: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Amendment to Section 5-46(a) of Arden Hills Code. Section 5-46 <br /> of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 5-46. License required; form. <br /> <br /> (a) Every owner of a dog more than six (6) months of age shall cause such <br /> dog to be registered, numbered, described and licensed through the office <br /> of the clerk-administrator of the city, or, the contracted poundkeeper. <br /> Such registration, numbering and licensing shall be for two (2) years for <br /> such dog while owned and kept by the same person while Iiving at the same <br /> address. <br /> (b) The license shall be a metal tag issued by the clerk-administrator." <br /> <br /> Section 2. Amendment to Section 5-47(b) of Arden Hills Code. Section 5-47 <br /> of the Arden Hils Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 5-47. Initial fee; fee for duplicate tag. <br /> <br /> (a) The fee for registration, numbering, description and licensing shall be <br /> as established from time to time by the council in a resolution adopted <br /> thereby. <br /> (b) Duplicate licenses for lost tags or the changed address of the owner <br /> shall be issued upon application to the clerk-administrator, or, the <br /> contracted poundkeeper, and payment of such fee as is reQuired from time to <br /> time by the council in a resoZution adopted thereby." <br /> <br /> Section 3. Amendment to Section 5-59 of Arden Hills Code. Section 5-59 of <br /> the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 5-59. Redemption by owner; fee. <br /> <br /> Any dog impounded pursuant to the provisions of this division may be <br /> redeemed from the pound by the owner thereof within five (5) business days, <br /> excluding holidays, after such impoundment upon payment to the <br /> clerk-administrator of such impoundment fee as has been from time to time <br /> established by the city council by resolution, plus the license fee <br /> required pursuant to section 5-47 hereof in the event the dog is not <br /> licensed." <br /> Section 4.
