<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> ~ CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> ORDI14ANCE NO. 223 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN QRDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 21-4(B)(22)(c) AND <br /> 21-7 ( f)( 2) AND ADDTNG A NEW SUBSECTION (q ) <br /> TO SECTION 21-7 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> 12ELATING TO CHANGEABLE CIJPY SIGNS <br /> <br /> The Arden Hills City Council ordains: <br /> Section 1. Deletion of Last Sentence of Section <br /> 21-4(B) 22 (c) of Arden Hills Code Relating to Changeable Copy <br /> -Si-9n-s-. The last sentence of Section 21=4 (B) (22) (c) of the Arden <br /> H311s Code is hereby deleted so that said provision reads as <br /> ' follows: <br /> <br /> "(c) Changeable copy sign. A sign which is <br /> designed to allow for periodic changes in <br /> copy or symbols, either by manual or electronic means. This definition shall <br /> include time and temperature signs." <br /> <br /> Section 2. Revision of Section 21-7 ( f)( 2) of Arden Hi 11 s <br /> Code Relating tn Changeable Cop_y Signs. Section 21-7(f)(2) of <br /> the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "(2) Changeable copy signs shall be considered as <br /> part of the allowable area for a business <br /> sign." <br /> <br /> Section 3. Addition of New Subsection (g) to Section 21-7 <br /> of Arden Hills Code Relating to Chanqeable Copy Signs. Section <br /> 21-7 of the Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by adding thereto. <br /> a new Subsection (g) which reads as follows: <br /> "(g) A business sign consisting solely of change- - <br /> able copy shall not be permitted. Changeable <br /> copy signs shall be allowed only when <br /> designed and constructed as part of a <br /> business sign containing permanent copy <br /> identifying the business to which it relates. <br /> The chanqeable copy portion shal.l not exceed <br /> fifty percent (50$) of the total area af the <br /> business sign of which it is a part." <br /> • Section 4. Effective Date.
