Issuance of license; investigation by <br /> olice. <br /> <br /> A Ilcense ta operate a gambling deviee shall be <br /> issued by the Clerk-Administrator no earlier than <br /> fifteen (15) days after the application has been sub- <br /> mitted. Ifi requested by the Clerk-Administrator, however, <br /> the Police Department of the City shall investigate any <br /> application and shall submit a recommendation to the <br /> Clerk-Administrator prior to issuance or denial of the <br /> license as provided in Section 13-8 of the Arden Hills <br /> Code." <br /> Section 2. Amendments to Section 13-24 of the Arden Hills <br /> Code to Add a New Subsectinn (ss) Thereto. Section 13-24 of the <br /> Arden Hills Code is hereby amended by striking the conjunction <br /> "and" at the end of Subsection (qq) and the period at the end of <br /> Subsection (rr) thereof, substituting a semicolon and the con- <br /> junction "and" at the end ot 5ubsection (rr) thereof, and adding <br /> a new Sabsection (ss) thereto which reads as follows: <br /> "(ss) Gambling device licenses." <br /> Section 3. Penalty. Any persan violating any provisions <br /> of this Ordinance, or the provisions of the Arden Hills Code <br /> added hereby, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convic- <br /> tion thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five <br /> Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or imprisonment for not to exceed <br /> ninety (90) days, or both. <br /> Section 4. Effective Date.
