Sl <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE <br /> PUBLIC WORKS RESERVE FUND, <br /> DESIGNATING CAPITAL IMPROVE- <br /> MENTS FOR WHICH THE FUND MAY <br /> BE USED AND OTHER PURPOSES <br /> FOR WHICH THE FUND MAY BE <br /> USED, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE SUPPORT <br /> OF THE FUND. <br /> The Village Council of the Village of . . Arden Hills does hereby ordain as fol- <br /> lows : <br /> Section 1. The Pwblic Works Reserve <br /> Fund. <br /> 3'iiere is hereby established in the <br /> . Village of Arden Hills a fund to be known as . "Public Works Reserve <br /> Fund," and the groper officers of the <br /> Village are authorized and direeted to <br /> cause said fund to be set up on records <br /> . and Iedgers of the Village and to make . . deposits therein and withdrawals there- <br /> from from the sources and of the pur- . <br /> poses hereinafter set farth. . Section 2. Sources of Funds. <br /> Hereaftex•, commencing with taxea lev- <br /> ied for the year 1965, the Council of . . Arden Hills may levy . tases within the restrietions imposed by law for the <br /> support of said Public Worka Reserve <br /> Fund, and the proceeds of taxes thus <br /> levied shall be Paid into said fund. In . addition thereto there may be ~paid into . such fund, upon resolution by the Coun- cil, any other revenue not required by <br /> statute or ordinance to be paid into <br /> some other fund or used for pu.rposes . <br /> - other than hereinafter provided. <br /> - Seetion 3. Purposes of the Ftiznd. . <br /> The Public Works Reserve Fund shall <br /> be used for the. construction, rebuilding, or replacement of the sewers, lift ata- . tions and other appurtenances of the <br /> Ax•den Aills sanitary sewer system as <br /> . now established or as the same may be <br /> enlarged or expanded in the future. It <br /> is the intention of the Council that the <br /> fund herein established shall be used for <br /> capital improvements and not for ordi- nary maintenance of the sanitary sew- <br /> . . er system. Without ]imiting the foregoing, the <br /> . said Public Works Reserve Fund may also be used, pursuant to Council resolu- . tion, for other eapitai improvements of . the same general type hereinbefore . <br /> specifically designatecl,for capital im- provements of any type for which the <br /> Village is now or may be in the future . <br /> authorized to issue bonds, and for such <br /> other uses as may be permitted by law. . . <br /> Section 4.
