<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DA TE: <br /> <br />June 23, 2008 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Greg Hoag, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Storm Damage Tree Removal, Ingerson Park <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On the evening of June 14, a storm with high winds caused extensive tree damage to Ingerson <br />Park. At the City Council Work Session on June 16, staff briefed the City Council on the extent <br />of the damage, and Council recommended that staff begin the cleanup process up to the City <br />Administrator's authorized spending limit for budgeted items of$7,500.00. Staff contacted our <br />contracted tree company to begin the cleanup. On June 18, Precision Landscape and Tree began <br />the work to cleanup and remove trees in the park within the authorized spending limit. Staff <br />anticipates the total project costs will not exceed $12,500.00. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Authorize staff an additional $5,000.00 beyond the City Administrator's authorized spending <br />limit of$7,500.00 to complete the storm damage cleanup and tree removal at Ingerson Park for a <br />total cost not to exceed $12,500.00. <br /> <br />C:\DoCUlnents andSettings\noah.simon\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK6C\CC Memo6 23 08 Ingerson Park stonn <br />damage. doc <br />
