<br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2008 <br />PROCLAMA TION <br /> <br />POUCE-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and TARGET is sponsoring a nationwide <br />crime prevention program on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 entitled "National Night Out"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the "25th Annual National Night Ouf' provides a unique opportunity for the City of Arden Hills to <br />join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, <br />police-community crime prevention efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Arden Hills plays a vital role in assisting the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department through joint <br />crime prevention efforts in Arden Hills and is supporting "National Night Out 2008": locally; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that the citizens of Arden Hills be aware of the importance of crime -prevention <br />programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime in Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important <br />themes of the "National Night Out" program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor, Stan Harp stead, and WE, Council Members~ David Grant, Brenda Holden, <br />Fran Holmes, Dave McClung, DO HEREBY CALL UPON ALL CITIZENS OF ARDEN HILLS,. RAMSEY <br />COUNTY, to join the RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION <br />OF TOWN WATCH and TARGET in supporting the '425th Annual National Night Out" on August 5th, 2008. <br /> <br />FURTHER, LET [T BE RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor, Stan Harpstead, and WE~ Council Members, <br />David Grant, Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave McClung, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 as <br />'~NA TIONAL NIGHT OUT" in Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mayor, Stan Harpstead <br /> <br />Council Member, David Grant <br /> <br />Council Member, Brenda Holden <br /> <br />Council Member, Fran Holmes <br /> <br />Council Member, Dave McClung <br />
