<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION - JUNE 23, 2008 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />Beverly Togel, audience member, asked whether the water park will be open for kids to play in. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead indicated this has not been determined but that it is about 10 acres in size, <br />within a public space. However, it was not intended to be an entertainment water park, but more <br />of a water feature inside a City park. <br /> <br />B. Update on Meetin2 with Former Interim City Administrator Jim Willis <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead reported he talked with Jim Willis who proposed three meeting dates. He <br />asked the Council to check their schedules and inform staff whether they could meet with Jim <br />Willis from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on either July 7, or July 9, or before the PTRC picnic meeting <br />on July 15, 2008. <br /> <br />C. Metro Cities Request for Committee Appointment <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead advised of the July 14, 2008 application deadline for the Committee <br />appointment. The committee is involved with grant evaluation and ranking, in regard to the <br />County Transit Improvement Board. He asked if any Council member would like to apply for <br />appointment to this committee, noting Ramsey County has two positions open at this time. <br /> <br />No one expressed an interest. <br /> <br />D. Responses from Chief Boehlke <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung stated after the work session last week, Chief Boehlke e-mailed <br />responses to several follow-up questions, which he forwarded to the City Administrator. It will be <br />provided for Council review in the next several weeks. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion <br />toadjoum the Special City Council Meeting. The motion carried unanimously (3- <br />0). <br /> <br />
