ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION - JUNE 23, 2008

12

Beverly Togel, audience member, asked whether the water park will be open for kids to play in.

Mayor Harpstead indicated this has not been determined but that it is about 10 acres in size,
within a public space. However, it was not intended to be an entertainment water park, but more
of a water feature inside a City park.

B. Update on Meetin2 with Former Interim City Administrator Jim Willis

Mayor Harpstead reported he talked with Jim Willis who proposed three meeting dates. He
asked the Council to check their schedules and inform staff whether they could meet with Jim
Willis from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on either July 7, or July 9, or before the PTRC picnic meeting
on July 15, 2008.

C. Metro Cities Request for Committee Appointment

Mayor Harpstead advised of the July 14, 2008 application deadline for the Committee
appointment. The committee is involved with grant evaluation and ranking, in regard to the
County Transit Improvement Board. He asked if any Council member would like to apply for
appointment to this committee, noting Ramsey County has two positions open at this time.

No one expressed an interest.

D. Responses from Chief Boehlke

Councilmember McClung stated after the work session last week, Chief Boehlke e-mailed
responses to several follow-up questions, which he forwarded to the City Administrator. It will be
provided for Council review in the next several weeks.

ADJOURN

MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion
toadjoum the Special City Council Meeting. The motion carried unanimously (3-
0).
