She <br />indicated this information would be useful to establishing the budget for the streets. <br /> <br />Tom Whitlock, Damon Farber stated he did not"have the numbers in front of him, <br />but that this varied greatly depending on the amenity. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung made it very clear that he would like to know the <br />expense of each item along with a low and high range, while this proposal was <br />being reviewed in order to keep him fully informed on the options. <br /> <br />Mr. Whitlock explained the first section of the presentation followed up on the <br />Council's last discussion. He stated his proposal followed the current budget with <br />several enhancements built in. Mr. Whitlock showed several slides to the Council <br />from a project in Woodbury. He indicated the landscaping including shrubs, trees, <br />ornamental grass and grass with native perennials. <br /> <br />Mr. Whitlock reviewed several other projects with the Council and asked them for <br />comments as to the likes and dislikes of these streetscape projects. He stressed the <br />importance of irrigation to care for the streets-capes along with proper soil. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung asked how much of a cost difference there was <br />between a streetscape that was tree focused versus one that was not. <br /> <br />Mr. Whitlock indicated the expense was similar and th.at the trees were not the <br />major expense. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes stated she would be In favor of low maintenance <br />landscaping without deemphasizing the medians. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the streetscaping, landscaping and medians proposed <br />for the TCAAP development. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden questioned who would be responsible for irrigation <br />expenses and maintenance of the medians. <br />
