Tom Whitlock, Damon Farber stated he did not"have the numbers in front of him, but that this varied greatly depending on the amenity. Councilmember McClung made it very clear that he would like to know the expense of each item along with a low and high range, while this proposal was being reviewed in order to keep him fully informed on the options. Mr. Whitlock explained the first section of the presentation followed up on the Council's last discussion. He stated his proposal followed the current budget with several enhancements built in. Mr. Whitlock showed several slides to the Council from a project in Woodbury. He indicated the landscaping including shrubs, trees, ornamental grass and grass with native perennials. Mr. Whitlock reviewed several other projects with the Council and asked them for comments as to the likes and dislikes of these streetscape projects. He stressed the importance of irrigation to care for the streets-capes along with proper soil. Councilmember McClung asked how much of a cost difference there was between a streetscape that was tree focused versus one that was not. Mr. Whitlock indicated the expense was similar and th.at the trees were not the major expense. Councilmember Holmes stated she would be In favor of low maintenance landscaping without deemphasizing the medians. Discussion ensued regarding the streetscaping, landscaping and medians proposed for the TCAAP development. Councilmember Holden questioned who would be responsible for irrigation expenses and maintenance of the medians.
