ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - October 13,2008 25 City Administrator Moorse stated that the date would be either December 6, 2008 or December 13, 2008. Mayor Harpstead stated that the retreat has typically been scheduled for a Saturday morning. City Administrator Moorse stated that December 6, 2008 would be the first choice for the meeting. Councilmember McClung asked that the dates be e-mailed to the Council so that a decision could be made. Councilmember Holden stated that the Council and Staff should start planning a date for the Town Hall meeting in January. ' Councilmember Holden asked what was going on at the library since there have not been any updates recently. Councilmember Holmes stated that the library had passed their final report and there were no other updates at this time. Councilmember McClung stated that a second new member has been added to the Communications Committee. He also stated that at the last committee meeting the goals for 2009 were discussed. Councilmember Holden asked how the recent opening with the PTRC was being filled. Parks and Recreation Manager Olson stated that the two people who had not been selected previously were being contacted and also the position was being advertised. Councilmember Holden asked why it was being advertised if there were already candidates. Parks and Recreation Manager Olson stated that she had talked with one of the previous candidates and they were no longer interested in the position and that would leave only one candidate choice for the position. The committee would like to have additional candidate choices before making its final decision. Councilmember Grant stated that the parks and recreation employee had been extended [rom part-time to close to full-time starting in January. This change
