<br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-051 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE 2008 MUNICIPAL ELECTION CANVASS <br />RESULTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills held its General Election on November 4, 2008; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 205.185, Subd. 3, requires that the City Council <br />canvass the results of the election within seven (7) days of the election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council met on November 10, 2008 as a canvassing board to <br />review the results of the election. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota, that voting for the office of City Council, where there were two to be elected to <br />four-year terms at the November 4, 2008 General Election, held in and for said City, has been <br />in all respects, duly canvassed by this City Council in accordance with the law. It is hereby <br />found and determined that the total votes cast upon the offices for each candidate at said <br />election were as follows: <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBERS # Votes <br />David Grant 3,170 <br />Brenda Holden 3,075 <br />Write In Votes 89 (Total)** <br />Pat Haik 7 <br />Bev Aplikowski 3 <br />Gregg Larson 3 <br />William Henry 2 <br /> <br />*The attachment lists those with one vote <br /> <br />* * The total of 89 write in votes shown in the table is the total from the voting machine tapes. <br />This total does not equal the total of the votes listed in the table and on the attached list, <br />due to some voters filling in the write in circle on the ballot, but not filling in a name on the <br />ballot. <br />
