Central ODen SDace Amenitv Workshop The First half of the meeting will have dealt with the medians, bridges, lighting, pond configuration and pond edge conditions. The second half of the meeting on November 19th will be dedicated to a hands on workshop on public amenities related to the Central Open Space. Intent: The goals of the workshop are to gain a better understanding of the desired pond configurations and how they are located within the Central Open Space and to explore the types of amenities that might be included within the Central Open Space at TCAAP and their potential locations within that system. The Workshop: A scaled plan (at 1"=30') of the Central Open Space will be unrolled on the table. The drawing will include adjacent land uses, roads and associated parking bays adjacent to the Central Open Space. The Council will be given a number of "to-scale" park amenities and pond configurations (on foamcore) to choose from. Participating Council members can then select the amenities they feel are most appropriate for TCAAP and place them on the plan in the locations they also feel are most appropriate. We will spend roughly 30 minutes placing the various amenities on the plan and then spend the remainder of the time discussing potential benefits and drawbacks of the scheme developed. We will then reveal the costs of the amenities and give the Council an opportunity to revisit the plan and decide what amenities are a priority and which may be left for the future. The Result: At the end of the Workshop we hope to have a general understanding of the Council's direction for the Central Open Space amenities along with their general locations on the plan. What's Next: The information we gather at this meeting will provide a foundation for the conceptuai development of the central open space. At subsequent meetings we will return to the Council for further review and consideration of park plans that reflect the input the Council provides during this workshop. 'To-scale' pieces of the amenities listed below will be provided to the Council for the workshop. We will also have blank pieces available for any amenities the Council would like to add.
