If <br />deemed necessary by the City, the density could be adjusted during the PUD process. <br /> <br />As noted in the outline, the building height limit was increased from 35 to 50 feet. Although the <br />Guiding Plan suggests a four story height limit, a 50 foot limit could conceivably accommodate <br />five stories depending on the design of the building (a portion of a story could be underground). <br />We are recommending a height limit in feet as opposed to a story limit because a height limit in <br />feet is clearer and easier to enforce than a height limit in stories. The height of a single story in a <br />modem building can vary depending on the design. A definition for a building story could be <br />created, but that can also be complicated due to building needs and other design features that <br />may be desirable. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />At their meeting on November 5, 2008, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to <br />recommend approval of the proposed Zoning Code changes in Ordinance 2008-010. As noted <br />above, the proposed sign code changes were not reviewed by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />1.
