<br />12/12/2008 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Based on the staffing comparisons, the City's staffing level is reasonable. Based on the City's <br />maintenance needs, the staffing level is necessary. Both from a short term perspective, and <br />looking ahead to the broad range of activities to be completed during warmer weather, it is <br />important that the staffing level is retained at eight maintenance workers and a superintendent. <br />Service demands continue, and mandates continue to increase, such as mandates regarding the <br />inspection and maintenance of storm water facilities. These require the City to retain an <br />adequate staffing level. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Authorize a maintenance worker hiring process. <br />
