<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />IINrHILL$ <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />January 12, 2009 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Greg Hoag, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />2009 Tree Removal and Related Services Contract Renewal <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />On December 1, 2006; City staff publicly opened and accepted bid proposals from tree removal <br />contractors for the City's 2007 Tree Removal and Related Services Contract. As part of this <br />contract the City had the option of extending the contract for 2008 with no added costs and up to <br />a five percent increase each year in 2009 and 2010. At the December 11, 2006 City Council <br />meeting, the City Council awarded the 2007 contract to Precision Landscape and Tree. At the <br />January 14, 2008 City Council meeting the Tree Removal and Related Services Contract was <br />extended for 2008. Precision Landscape and Tree has very responsive to the needs of the City <br />the past two years. Precision Landscape and Tree is willing to maintain their 2007 and 2008 <br />prices for 2009. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Staff is recommending that the City Council extend the Tree Removal and Related Services <br />Contract with Precision Landscape and Tree for the January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 time <br />period. <br />
