<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />January 12, 2009 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Ordinance Amendment Regarding Volunteer Commission <br />Membership <br /> <br />Back2:round <br />The Council has directed staff to draft an ordinance amendment to increase the authorized <br />number of members on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee to "up to 12", and to <br />increase the authorized p.umber of members on the Financial Planning and Analysis Committee <br />to "up to 6". The Council also. directed that the membership criteria for these committees be <br />made similar to the criteria for the Economic Development Committee, which allows a portion <br />of the membership to be non-residents. An ordinance reflecting the Council's direction is <br />attached for the Council's approval. <br /> <br />Council Action ReQuested <br />Motion to approve an ordinance amendment to increase the authorized number of members on <br />the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee, and the Financial Planning and Analysis <br />Committee, and to allow for a portion of the membership of these Committees to be non- <br />residents. <br />
