Rental Registration <br /> <br />(1) Description: Adopt a program to locate and register rental properties in order <br />to better enforce city ordinances, education owners/tenants on city <br />ordinances, and track rental patterns <br />(2) Staff: James Lehnhoff, Dave Scherbel, John Mennenga, Meagan Beekman, <br />City Attorney <br />(3) Implementation Steps: <br />(a) Research rental registration ordinances <br />(b) Work with the City Attorney to write the rental registration <br />ordinance <br />( c) Prepare a process for identifying and registering rental properties, <br />establish a rental registration fee <br />(d) Council review and adopt rental registration ordinance <br />(e) Register rental properties and provide educational materials <br /> <br />V. Administrative Fines <br /> <br />(1) Description: Adopt an ordinance authorizing the use of administrative fines <br />to increase compliance with City regulations <br />(2) Staff: James Lehnhoff, Dave Scherbel, John Mennenga, Meagan Beekman <br />(3) Implementation Steps: <br />(a) Research administrative fine ordinance <br />(b) Work with the City Attorney to write the administrative fine <br />ordinance <br />(c) Council review and adopt administrative fine ordinance <br />(d) Update code enforcement policy if needed <br /> <br />VI.
