<br />~ <br />ILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: March 9,2009 <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: TCAAP Update <br /> <br />Federal Stimulus Funding <br />The City is working closely with Congresswoman Betty McCollum to obtain funding for clean- <br />up and demolition on the TCAAP site through the Federal stimulus package. <br /> <br />Tax Increment Financing Legislation <br />The City is continuing to work with its State legislators to obtain special legislation to enable <br />flexibility in the use of tax increment financing for the TCAAP project. Representative Knuth <br />has taken the lead in shepherding the bill through the legislative process on the House side. <br /> <br />Coordination of Legislative Efforts <br />The City, Ryan, and Ryan's legislative consultant will begin meeting on a regular basis to ensure <br />coordination of legislative efforts. <br />
