<br />I <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 27, 2009 <br /> <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />FROM: James Lehnhoff, Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resignation of Nancy Kneeland from the EDC <br /> <br />ReQuested Action <br /> <br />Motion to accept the resignation of Nancy Kneeland from the Economic Development <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Back2round <br /> <br />On April 15, 2009, Nancy Kneeland submitted her resignation from the Economic Development <br />Commission (EDC). Ms. Kneeland's appointment had been set to expire at the end of 2009. A <br />replacement for this position would fulfill the remainder of the term. <br /> <br />With Ms. Kneeland's resignation, four of the nine positions on the EDC will be vacant. Two of <br />the other vacant positions have appointments that expire at the end of2010, and the other vacant <br />position expires at the end of 2011. An application from a resident was recently submitted to the <br />City, and we are in the process of setting up an interview. The open positions have been posted <br />to the web and on CTV. <br /> <br />Based on the composition of the EDC, the next vacancy must be filled by a resident. According <br />to the City Code, at least four members of the EDC should be residents of Arden Hills.
