Our Public Works department currently rents or borrows this <br />equipment as needed, which can pose scheduling issues for our crews and with Ramsey County if we <br />borrow theirs. This equipment will assist our Public Works crews in patching streets, water main <br />breaks, manhole adjustments and other pavement repairs. It is estimated that this equipment will <br />have a 20 year useful life. <br /> <br />Staff has looked at several different saws and has determined that a Husqvama model FS520 is best <br />for our needs. We have obtained a quote from Esch Construction Supply, Inc. for $5,374.10 <br />including tax. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends purchasing a new pavement cutting saw from Esch Construction Supply, Inc. <br />located in St. Paul MN, for a cost not to exceed $5,374.10, to be funded from the <br />Equipment/Building Replacement Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Authorize Staff to purchase a new pavement cutting saw from Esch Construction Supply, Inc. located <br />in St. Paul MN, for a cost not to exceed $5,374.10, to be funded from the Equipment/Building <br />Replacement Fund. <br />
