<br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-058 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BUSINESS SUBSIDY CRITERIA <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council ("Council") of the City of Arden Hi11s ("City") as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recitals. <br /> <br />1.01. Before .awarding any "business subsidy" as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section <br />116J.993 to 1161.995 (the "Business Subsidy Act"), the City is required to adopt criteria regarding <br />such subsidies after holding a public hearing. <br /> <br />1.02. The Council previously adopted a documeut titled Public Financing Policy (the <br />"Prior Policy") which related specifically to redevelopment of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition <br />Plant ("TCAAP") site and did not address other potential business subsidies in the City. <br /> <br />1.03. The Council has determined to adopt a uniform set of business subsidy criteria <br />applicable to all applicants for public financial assistance in the City. <br /> <br />1.04. To that eud, the Council has reviewed a document titled City of Ardeu Hills <br />Business Criteria (the "Subsidy Criteria") on file in City Hall, and has on this date held a duly <br />noticed public hearing at which all interested persons were giveu an opportunity to be heard. <br /> <br />Section 2. Subsidv Criteria Approved. <br /> <br />2.01. The Council approves the Subsidy Criteria on file in City Hall, and expressly finds <br />that the Subsidy Criteria supersedes the Prior Policy in all respects. <br /> <br />2.02. City staff are authorized to transmit a copy of the Subsidy Criteria to the Minnesota <br />Department of Employment and Economic Development in accordance with the Business Subsidy <br />Act. <br />
