<br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-053 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF NORTHWEST YOUTH AND FAMILY <br />SERVICES CAMPAIGN TO CREATE THE DISCOVERY CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Youth and Family Services mission is to prepare <br />youth and families for healthy lives; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills greatly values the contributions Northwest <br />Youth & Family Services has provided for Arden Hills residents for over 30 years; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services of Minnesota is constructing <br />the Discovery Center to provide hands-on, experientialleaming and physical activity; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Discovery Center will be a community resonrce for youth sports, <br />meeting, festivals, and family celebrations; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an estimated 9,000 participants are expected to utilize the Discovery <br />Center annnally; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council <br />hereby supports and endorses the Northwest Youth and Family Services Campaign to <br />create the Discovery Center. <br /> <br />Dated: <br /> <br />1I/2U,/O~ <br />, I <br />NoYerf\b~~ 2L/th I 2.00'0 <br /> <br /> <br />~.. <br /> <br />ATTESTED BY: <br /> <br /> <br />Ronald J. oorse <br />City Administrator <br />
