<br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />Approved: January 12, 2009 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 19, 2008 <br />6:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order <br />the City Council Work Session meeting at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Stan Harpstead; Council Members David Grant, Brenda <br />Holden, Fran Holmes, and Dave McClung. <br /> <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Also present: City Administrator Ron Moorse; Public Works Director <br />Gregory Hoag; Finance Director Susan Iverson; Civil Engineer Kris Giga; <br />Community Development Director James Lehnhoff; City Planner Meagan <br />Beakman; Gen McJilton, Ryan Companies; and Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & <br />Associates. <br /> <br />1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Streets and Street Amenities <br /> <br />Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & Associates, presented the Council with potential <br />materials to be used on the bridge, including the curb, gutter and railing system. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung indicated he was in favor of the top picture presented <br />without the railing system becoming to artsy. He stated he would like to see the <br />railing open and inviting while still keeping people protected. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden agreed and asked if the suggested materials were all in <br />the medium price range. <br />
