We received notice of the public <br />hearing on the Conditional Use Permit Amendment proposed to accomodate a 75 foot cellular telephone tower on <br />the Bethel campus. While it appears that efforts will be made to mitigate the impact of the tower, I would urge the <br />Planning Commission to evaluate the proposed site and design from the standpoint of the least intrusive visual <br />impact on surrounding residential areas, I am not familiar enough with either the technology or alternative sites <br />within or near the campus to evaluate this proposal, but I would hope the Planning Commission staff has those <br />resources.
