Mangine, Director <br />660 Government Center West <br />50 West Kellogg Boulevard <br />St. Paul, MN 55102-1657 <br />May 4, 2009 <br />Ms. Megan Beekman, City Planner <br />City of Arden Hills <br />1245 West Highway 96 <br />Arden Hills,, MN 55112 <br />Dear Ms. Beekman,, <br />Attached please find our application for a Conditional Use Permit Amendment for a small <br />addition and remodel project at the Ramsey County Public Works/Sheriff Patrol Station & <br />Partners Facility, located at 1411 Paul Kirkwold Drive, in Arden Hills. <br />Tel: 651-266-2260 <br />Fax: 651-266-2264 <br />Ramsey County Property Management is proposing to remodel approximately 1,250 SF in the <br />Sheriff Patrol Station for a Disaster Recovery Computer Center, and add approximately 1,800 SF <br />of office space at the Ramsey County Sheriff Patrol Station. <br />The addition/remodel design is at the early Schematic Design level.. This level is sufficient for <br />the County to secure financing and issue a Request for Proposals to complete the design and <br />enter the construction phase. We are currently in the process of hiring a design -build team to <br />complete the design work and construct the addition. We anticipate- approval of the selected <br />design -build team by the County Board on or about June 2, 2009. 1 have included a copy of the <br />RFP for your reference. Our intention is to work closely with the City of Arden Hills and our <br />design -build partner to meet all City requirements and provide complete and updated information <br />to the Planning Commission and the City Council. <br />The City of Arden Hills and Ramsey County have a history of successful partnerships. In the <br />interest of this partnership, we are requesting that Arden Hills waive the Conditional Use Permit <br />fee,, as they have in the past. Ramsey County will assume responsibility for all construction fees, <br />permit fee, and escrow amounts. <br />Please contact me if you need additional information or clarification.
