<br />~ <br />~HlLLS <br /> <br />Approved: April 20, 2009 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br />JANUARY 20, 2009 <br />5:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order <br />the City Council Work Session meeting at 5 :00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Stan Harpstead; Council Members David Grant, Brenda <br />Holden (arrived at 5 :05 p.m.), Fran Holmes, and Dave <br />McClung. <br /> <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Also present: City Administrator Ron Moorse; Public Works Director <br />Gregory Hoag; Finance Director Susan Iverson; Civil Engineer Kristine <br />Giga; Community Development Director James Lehnhoff; Park and <br />Recreation Manager Michelle Olson; Charles Roberts, Community <br />Development Intern; and Stacie Kvilvang, Ehlers & Associates; S~nator <br />Chaudhary and Chuck Janski, Bonestroo. <br /> <br />1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Senator Chaudhary <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead thanked Senator Chaudhary for being able to attend the meeting <br />and stated he would like to see continued open communication between the <br />Council and State representatives. He asked for an update at the State level based <br />on the economic crisis and how this affected the 2009 budget. Mayor Harpstead <br />indicated the City of Arden Hills was impacted only slightly due to the budget <br />crunch, losing $57,000 largely due to the market value homestead credit. <br />
