<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 8, 2009 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant clarified that the Odd Fellows Lodge would also need to <br />register under the ordinance. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated that this is correct. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead clarified that this ordinance applies to dwelling units or <br />buildings not rooms. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated that this ordinance does not <br />apply to rooms. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if there were continual issues with a property <br />would the City have the right to inspect the property. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated that the ordinance covers this <br />on page 3, item 335.04, Subd. 3. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Harpstead moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br />motion to Approve Ordinance 2009-007; An Ordinance Requiring the <br />Registration of Residential Rental Units with less than Five Dwelling <br />Units with the addition of Item 335.03 Subd. 1.D Group Residential <br />Housing as defined in Minnesota Statute 2561 as amended from time to <br />time. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Harpstead moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a <br />motion to Approve Ordinance 2009-008 to Add Residential Rental <br />Unit Registration Fees to the City Code.
