"0 t <br />�fl DEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: September 14, 2009 <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />FROM: James Lehnhoff, Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: Resignation of James Paulet from the EDC <br />Requested Action <br />Motion to accept the resignation of James Paulet from the Economic Development Commission. <br />Background <br />On August 16, 2009, ,Tames Paulet submitted his resignation from the Economic Development <br />Commission (EDC). Mr. Paulet's appointment had been set to expire at the end of 2010. A <br />replacement for this position would fulfill the remainder of the term. <br />With Mr. Paulet's resignation, four of the nine positions on the EDC will be vacant. Two of the <br />other vacant positions have appointments that expire at the end of 2010, and the other vacant <br />position expires at the end of 2009. No applications have been submitted for the EDC. The <br />open positions have been posted to the web and on CTV. <br />Based on the composition of the EDC, the next vacancy must be filled by a resident. According <br />to the City Code, at least four members of the EDC should be residents of Arden Hills.
