A.R.QEN <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO.2009-026 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota Metropolitan Land Planning Act the City prepared a <br /> 2030 Comprehensive Plan update in accordance with the System Statement dated September 12, <br /> ZOOS, and the amended population, household, and employment forecasts that were approved by the <br /> Metropolitan Council on March 25, 2008. <br /> WHEREAS, the City held three community involvement meetings and numerous public <br /> meetings with the Planning Commission; Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee; Economic <br /> Development Commission; and the City Council to prepare the Plan. <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 2, 2008, to receive <br /> public comments prior to releasing the draft 2030 Comprehensive Plan for review by adjacent <br /> j urisdictions. <br /> WHEREAS, on July 14, 2008, the City Council authorized releasing the draft 2030 <br /> Comprehensive Plan for comment to adjacent jurisdictions, which include: the Cities of Mounds <br /> View, New Brighton, Roseville, and Shoreview; Ramsey County; the Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportation; the Rice Creek Watershed District; the Mounds View School District, and the <br /> Roseville School District. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 15, 2008, the City Council accepted the comments from the <br /> adjacent jurisdictions, gave preliminary approval to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan, and authorized its <br /> submission to the Metropolitan Council. <br /> WHEREAS, on August 12, 2009, the Metropolitan Council provided comments to the City <br /> of Arden Hills and found that the Arden Hills 2030 Comprehensive Plan meets all Metropolitan Land <br /> Planning Act requirements; conforms to the regional system plans for transportation, including <br /> . g <br /> aviation, water resources management, and parks; is consistent with the 2030 Regional Development <br /> Framework, and is compatible with the plans of adjacent jurisdictions. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Arden Hills has hereby completed and <br /> approved its 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN LS THIS 8TH DAY <br /> OF SEPTEMBER 2009. <br /> Stanley D a ste ,Mayor <br /> ......AoATT T. <br /> Ronald J. o - , City Administrator <br /> \\Metroanet\ardenhills\Admin\Council\Agendas&Packet tnformation\2009\09-28-09 Regular\Packet Information\4C 092809-Regular Meeting-Attachment B-2030 Comp <br /> Plan Update_doc <br />
