Part VI <br />Addendum to Applications <br />Appendix A_: <br />A brief description of the organizational structure of the Applicant, including parent subsidiary, and <br />affiliate organizations (if applicant is other than an individual) <br />Northwestern College is an Independent non-profit organization and is governed by a Board of <br />Trustees of not less than 15 and not more than 25 individuals. The Trustees who serve without <br />compensation are responsible for overseeing the affairs and mission of the Corporation. The <br />Board appoints a President (who is a member of the Board) who is responsible to the Board for <br />the operation of the College and for the achievement of its mission and implementation of its <br />policies, <br />The College (one organization) has two primary focuses (higher education and media). The <br />President's Cabinet (senior management team) reflects this structure with a Vice President for <br />Academic Affairs and a Senior dice President for Media serving as the chief operating officers <br />for the two focuses supported by other members of the senior management team overseeing <br />support functions of Advancement, Marketing, Finances, Facilities, Human Resources, and <br />Technology. <br />Northwestern Foundation is a public charity, non-profit corporation. This mission of the <br />Foundation is to secure, receive and manage planned gifts on behalf of the College. The <br />majority of members of the Foundation's Board of Directors are also members of the College's <br />Board of Trustees. <br />Lincoln Drive Properties, a limited liability corporation, was founded in 2006 with the sole <br />purpose of acquiring and managing property on behalf of the College. The majority of the <br />members of the Lincoln Drive Properties Board of Directors are also member of the College's <br />Board of Trustees. <br />Both the College and the Foundation are exempt from state and federal income taxes, the <br />College under Section 501(c)(3) and the Foundation under Section 509(a)(1) of the Internal <br />Revenue Code. <br />Appendix B; <br />Statement of Applicant's business history, including any multi -family rental projects. <br />
