The proposal includes two options; improving and restriping the
existing bridge to allow for a five foot pedestrian walkway and a stand along bike/ped bridge.
Both options have their own costs and benefits. Both options have different potential funding
options, including the possibility for State and/or Federal grants. The City Council directed staff
to move forward on funding options for both and will reexamine the issue once more information
is available.
October 26, 2009, City Council Meeting
The City Council unanimously voted to approve Ordinance 2009-011 and 2009-012 to amend
the City's Liquor Regulations. Because this was an amendment to the City Code, and not the
Zoning Code, this item did not come before the Planning Commission.
The City Council also unanimously voted to approve Planning Case 09-018 for a CUP
Amendment at 1901 Lake Valentine Road for the First Student bus terminal. The Planning
Commission unanimously recommended approval for this item at the October 7, 2009, meeting.
City of Arden Hills
Planning Commission Meeting for November 4, 2009
\\Metro-inet.us\ardenhills\Planning\Planning Commission\CC Reports\110409 - PC report - CC report.doc
Page 1 of 2
