� ENHILLS <br /> Approved: September 28, 2009 <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br /> JULY 209 2009 <br /> 5:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Councilmember McClung called to <br /> order the City Council Work Session meeting at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor Stan Harpstead (arrived at 5:35 p.m.); Council Members <br /> David Grant (arrived at 5:02 p.m.), Brenda Holden, Fran <br /> Holmes, and Dave McClung. <br /> Absent: None. <br /> Also present: City Administrator Ron Moorse; Public Works Director <br /> Gregory Hoag; Finance Director Susan Iverson; Civil Engineer Kris Giga; <br /> Park and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson; and Community Development <br /> Director James Lehnhoff. <br /> 1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> B. Emergency Management Presentation— Judd Freed <br /> Judd Freed, Ramsey County presented the City Council with information on the <br /> current Emergency Management Plan. Mr. Freed explained it was important for <br /> him to be able to take the time to explain the emergency management program. He <br /> reviewed how emergency planning has changed over the past ten years. <br /> Mr. Freed indicated there were viable threats to the area but that the County wants <br /> to address the risks prior to any major occurrences. He stated the County was now <br /> working to leverage resources and personnel county-wide to deal with hazards <br /> when they occur. <br /> Mr. Freed explained he had four people working in his department at this time, but <br /> would continue to partner with the City's across the County when facing an <br />
