Ita.-
,,--ARQEN HILLS
MEMORANDUM
DATE: December 9, 2009 PC Agenda Item 5,*A
TO: Planning Commission
FROM: Meagan Beekman, City Planner
SUBJECT: Report from the City Council
November 9, 2009, City Council Meeting
The City Council established a three hour time limit for all City Meetings. If a Planning
Commission meeting should run beyond three hours a motion to extend the meeting and a
majority affirmative vote from the Planning Commission would be required.
November 30, 2009, City Council Meeting
The City Council approved a motion to table planning case 09-020 for additional information.
This application was from Clear Wireless for a CUP to install antennas on the existing Country
Insurance building located at 2 Pine Tree Drive. This item will likely go back to the City
Council at their December 14, 2009, meeting. The Planning Commission unanimously
recommended approval of this planning case at the November 4, 2009, meeting.
TCAAP Update
On Wednesday, November 19, 2009, the GSA held a bidder's conference at Fort Snelling. The
purpose of the meeting was to share information about the property with any and all parties
interested in purchasing the entire 585 acre site for redevelopment. The meeting included a
summary of the history of the property, and explanation of the known contaminants remaining
on the site, and a discussion about the transfer process and how the GSA would ensure that all
required clean up occurs. There were approximately 50 people in attendance. It is unknown
how many were potential bidder's. Most of the City Council was in attendance.
City of Arden Hills
Planning Commission Meeting for November 4, 2009
\\Metro-inet.us\ardenhills\Planning\Planning Commission\CC Reports\120909 - PC report - CC report.doc
Page 1 of 2
