ARDEN HILLS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL—November 16, 2009 2
2A. Consider approval of the TCAAP Reuse Statement
Mayor Harpstead stated he had several minor corrections. He would like to see the word
expectations moved from the bottom of the second page to the top of the third page. In addition,
the first bullet on Page 3, he would use the word standards instead of levels.
Councilmember Holmes suggested the word cleaning be changed to "an environmental plan that
remediates all of the land to the required levels".
Mayor Harpstead requested that the next bullet point use the word manner instead of matter.
Councilmember McClung indicated bullet point three was a bit vague at this time. He suggested
additional language be added to pull the thoughts together, or that it read, "to allow a connection
to the southern portion of Arden Hills".
Mayor Harpstead agreed and asked that the words "along the eastern border of TCAAP" be
removed from the sentence in the second to the bottom bullet point.
Councilmember Holmes noted in the 131h bullet point she asked that the wordspolice, fire and
p
road improvements, be added to this item.
Councilmember McClung suggested this read in addition, but not limited to would be nice to
add as well.
Councilmember Holmes didn't know if a park and ride should be considered for this site and
asked that this comment be omitted.
Mayor Harpstead noted he wasn't comfortable with how the last bulleted comment read on the
last page. He indicated it should be stated that the environmental data was an asset of RLLD. It
was suggested this item read, "additional information, such as environmental data, an asset of and
may be available from RLLD".
Councilmember Grant questioned where the acreages on Page 1 came from. -
Community Development Director Lehnhoff stated these numbers came from the
comprehensive plan and were estimates at this time.
Mayor Harpstead asked if there were any further questions or comments. He suggested the
Council approve this pending any further comments from Councilmember Holden.
Councilmember Holmes questioned if the vote could be postponed to allow Councilmember
Holden time to arrive at the meeting and provide comment.
Mayor Harpstead indicated this could be done and that this item could be pulled off the table or
even adjourned and brought back after the work session meeting.
