EN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: December 14, 2009 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members Ron Moorse, City Administrator FROM: Kristine Giga, Civil Engineer Greg Hoag, Public Works Director SUBJECT: 2010 Pavement Management Program- Receive Feasibility Report and Order Public Hearing Backiround At the October 12, 2009, meeting, the City Council approved resolution 2009-027 ordering the feasibility report for the 2010 PMP, and authorized staff to contract with WSB and Associates, Inc., to complete the report. The 2010 Pavement Management Program consists of the following streets: Valentine Crest Road, from Valentine Avenue to cul de sac, Valentine Avenue, from Lake Valentine Road to Old Highway 10, Valentine Court, from Valentine Avenue to cul de sac, Janet Court, from Lake Valentine Road to cul de sac, Katie Lane, from Cleveland Avenue to 1272 feet south, Katie Court, from Katie Lane to cul de sac, Two informational meetings were held with the property owners, on October 29, 2009, and December 3, 2009. Topics of discussion included the City's assessment policy, an overview of typical street reconstruction project, and the proposed improvements for the neighborhood. In accordance with City Council direction, a feasibility report has been prepared that details the proposed design, neighborhood impact, and estimated cost of the proposed project. An overview of the feasibility report was shared with the neighborhood at our December 3 information meeting. A copy of the completed feasibility report is attached. Representatives from WSB and Associates, Inc. will attend the City Council meeting to present the results. The next step in the process is for the City Council to accept the feasibility report and to schedule a public hearing.
