EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 14, 2009 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />FROM: Kristine Giga, Civil Engineer <br />Greg Hoag, Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: 2010 Pavement Management Program- Receive Feasibility Report <br />and Order Public Hearing <br />Backiround <br />At the October 12, 2009, meeting, the City Council approved resolution 2009-027 <br />ordering the feasibility report for the 2010 PMP, and authorized staff to contract with <br />WSB and Associates, Inc., to complete the report. <br />The 2010 Pavement Management Program consists of the following streets: <br />Valentine Crest Road, from Valentine Avenue to cul de sac, <br />Valentine Avenue, from Lake Valentine Road to Old Highway 10, <br />Valentine Court, from Valentine Avenue to cul de sac, <br />Janet Court, from Lake Valentine Road to cul de sac, <br />Katie Lane, from Cleveland Avenue to 1272 feet south, <br />Katie Court, from Katie Lane to cul de sac, <br />Two informational meetings were held with the property owners, on October 29, <br />2009, and December 3, 2009. Topics of discussion included the City's assessment <br />policy, an overview of typical street reconstruction project, and the proposed <br />improvements for the neighborhood. <br />In accordance with City Council direction, a feasibility report has been prepared that <br />details the proposed design, neighborhood impact, and estimated cost of the proposed <br />project. An overview of the feasibility report was shared with the neighborhood at <br />our December 3 information meeting. A copy of the completed feasibility report is <br />attached. Representatives from WSB and Associates, Inc. will attend the City <br />Council meeting to present the results.
