Dear Eagle Scout Candidate:
The City of Arden Hills Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to have you consider
us for the location of your Eagle Scout Project. Arden Hills Parks and Recreation sets up
several procedures to help make your project successful for you and the Parks. We have
developed a list of potential projects that we would accept and encourage in the parks and
open spaces.
The steps required to start your project are:
1. Contact City of Arden Hills Parks and Recreation Department. The lead contact for
Eagle Scout Projects is Michelle Olson(651-792-7848). She will help you select you
project or direct you to the proper contact.
2. Complete the Eagle Scout Project Request Form and submit to your contact person.
Allow two weeks for the processing of the form. Eagle Scout Service Project
Workbooks will not be signed before the request form is approved. Only completed
workbooks will be signed. Arden Hills Parks and Recreation will be provided with a
copy of the workbook.
3. A site visit with your City of Arden Hills Parks contact will be made prior to the start
of the project.
4. Projects are generally not accepted from Scouts within six months of turning 18.
Once the project is complete afollow-up site visit will be made with the contact and
scout. After that visit a completion letter will be sent.
Thank you for considering us for your Eagle Scout Project. We look forward to
discussing your project with you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Michelle Olson
Parks and Recreation Manager
Enclosures
