The software <br />be��g util�zed to n�anage this contract recognizes the change �n �he eon�ract as a change <br />orde�-. �'h�s action was appra�ed wi�th the a�vard of the praject on �ay 10, 2Q14. <br />Change Order #2 includes the car�stru.ctior� of a�hicker raadvvay sectior� on Va�entine <br />�ourt. The soi�s an Valentine �ourt consist of clay mater�a�s. Whe� ca�ditions perm�t <br />and sails are not �a.tur�ted, a roadway can be construc�ed on these types of materials. <br />There have been seve�al s�gr���cant rain events this year, which saturatect �he soils on t�e <br />site. Due ta the wet eond�tions, the �n-place soils were not ach�ev�ng the required <br />eompact�on needed to construct a road. After reviewing the canditians with �he soils <br />eng�neer, Stork Twin Crty Testi�g, i� was determined that the �nost time and cost- <br />ef�eet�ve �ne�hod to p�epare the raadway was ta remove ar� additional 4" of t�e existing <br />so�Is, and increase the aggregate section fronl8" to 12".
