ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JUNE 14, 2010 2 <br /> 2A. TCAAP Update (continued) <br /> Community Development Director Lehnhoff explained Greg Mack with Ramsey County Parks <br /> continues discussions with the GSA and MPCA to work out the clean up requirements of the land <br /> to be transferred to the County. The Planning Commission held a public hearing at their June 9, <br /> 2010, meeting to make a formal recommendation to the City Council regarding the proposed <br /> TCAAP zoning regulations. The Council will review these regulations on June 28, 2010. <br /> Mayor Harpstead asked if the GSA had any other interested parties in the TCAAP property. <br /> Community Development Director Lehnhoff indicated he was not aware of any other parties <br /> interested in the site. <br /> Mayor Harpstead questioned if the City's role at the bidder's conference would be similar to the <br /> first conference. <br /> Community Development Director Lehnhoff explained he was unsure of the City's role at this <br /> time and would be confirming with Mr. Legare. <br /> Couneilmember Holden requested staff hold formal conference call with the GSA to confirm <br /> thi's information. <br /> PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATION <br /> Mayor Harpstead opened the Public Inquiries/Informational at 7:06 p.m. <br /> Ms. Melinda Peloquin, 1645 Valentine Avenue, Arden Hills, provided the Council with <br /> information regarding the splitting of her lot. She noted her lot was a single family lot and taxes <br /> would increase if split. In addition, the proposed home would require seven trees to be removed. <br /> She indicated she was not in favor of the lot split. <br /> Ms. Brenda Goldman, 1146 Waldon Place, Arden Hills, asked for support from the Council on <br /> Item 7D the variance request. She stated the front addition to her home would provide additional <br /> bedrooms needed for her family. Ms. Goldman explained her home was unique as it was at the <br /> end of a cul-de-sac and was originally built closer to the street than others along Waldon Place. <br /> Ms. Sarah Snyder, 737 Second Avenue NW, New Brighton, requested the Council consider a <br /> sidewalk along Lake Valentine Road. She started a petition and gathered 400 signatures showing <br /> support for a sidewalk along this roadway to provide greater safety to the students walking and <br /> riding bikes to school. An article was also printed in the school newspaper regarding this request. <br /> Mr. Jeff Snyder, 737 Second Avenue NW, New Brighton, supported the sidewalk request and <br /> reviewed a map with Council. He indicated the sidewalk would provide safety for the 30-50 <br /> children walking up Lake Valentine Road, especially during the winter months when they are <br /> walking in the dark. <br />
