EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: August 16, 2010 Item 2.A <br />T0: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Library Proposal Update <br />Background <br />The Library proposal, in conjunction with the Presbyterian Homes redevelopment <br />concept, was reviewed at the August 9th Council work session. The proposal is scheduled <br />to be presented by Presbyterian Homes to the County Library Board on August 18th. The <br />meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Library. The City Council is welcome to attend <br />this County Library Board meeting. <br />Staff has been and continues to be in contact with the Library Director, Susan Nemitz, <br />our Ehlers representatives, and with representatives of Presbyterian Homes, but at this <br />time there is nothing new to report. <br />Staff will verbally update the Council on the latest information that is available at the <br />August 16th work session. Any Council feedback on the development concept and the <br />Library proposal that was presented on August 9th is appreciated. <br />
