,,-A EN MILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 2010-050 <br /> A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE LEXINGTON AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement of the <br /> Lexington Avenue Sidewalk Project, bids were received on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at <br /> 10:00 a.m., opened, and tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were received <br /> complying with the advertisement: <br /> BIDDER AMOUNT <br /> North Valley, Inc. $ 90,011.62 <br /> Barber Construction $ 10%620.00 <br /> Concrete Idea $ 1189225.45 <br /> Minger Construction $ 1199643.55 <br /> DMJ Asphalt $ 1295816.01 <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that North Valley, Inc., of Elk River, Minnesota is the <br /> lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of$90,011.62; <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN <br /> HILLS,MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with North Valley, Inc. of Elk River, Minnesota, for $90,011.62 in the name of <br /> the City of Arden Hills for the above improvements according to the plans and <br /> specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of <br /> the City Administrator. <br /> 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br /> bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br /> and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br />
