RESOLUTION No. 2011-001
Resolution relating to the organization of the City of Arden Hills
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota (City) as -
follows:
Section 1. Official Depository. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 118A.02,
Subdivision 1, the City Council designates the following financial institutions as official
depositories for municipal funds:
a) US Bank
b) Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union
c) Wells Fargo Bank,N.A.
Investment Brokers:
a) Dain Rauscher Corporation
b) Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC
c) Wells Fargo Securities, LLC
d) 4M Fund sponsored by LMC (liquid asset and plus funds)
e) Wells Fargo Advisors
Section 2. Official Newspaper. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.831, the
City Council designates the following newspaper as official newspaper of the City:
a) Shoreview-Arden Hills Bulletin
The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to enter into agreements with the official
newspapers for the publication of items required by law to be published.
Section 3. Mawr Pro-Tem. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.121,
Councilmember Fran Holmes is appointed Mayor Pro-Tem and is to perform the duties of
the Mayor during the absence or disqualification of the Mayor or in the case of a vacancy
in the office of the Mayor.
Section 4. Officers: Employees: Appointment. The following persons are appointed to
the offices indicated.
City Administrator/Clerk Patrick Klaers
Director of Finance and
Administrative Services/Treasurer: Susan Iverson
Section 5. Acting Officers, Deputies. The following are appointed to the office
indicated.
Acting Administrator: Susan Iverson
Deputy Clerk: Rebecca Brazys and Susan Iverson -
Deputy Treasurer: Patrick Klaers
Section 6. Liaisons. The following are appointed liaisons as indicated.
(Will be appointed at a future date by Resolution 2011-004)
Section 7. Regular Council Meetings. The regular meeting of the City Council of Arden -
Hills is to be held on the second and last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City
Hall.
Section 8. City Attorney. The firm of Peterson, Pram and Bergman is appointed City
Attorney with Jerry Filla as primary City Attorney.
Section 9. Financial Consultant. The firm Ehlers & Associates, Inc. is appointed
financial consultant.
Section 10. Engineer. The Public Works Director, Terry Maurer is appointed City
Engineer.
Section 11. Auditor. The firm Malloy, Montague, Kamowski, Radosevich and Company
(MMKR) is appointed City Auditor.
Section 12. Insurance Consultant. D.C. Fields is appointed insurance consultant with
Mark Lenz as principal consultant.
Section 13. Emergency Management Director_. Emergency Preparedness Resource
Group, LLC.
Section 14. Police. Ramsey County is appointed as the City police and law enforcement
agency.
Section 15. Fire. Lake Johanna Fire Department is appointed as the City Fire Safety
Officer.
Section 16. Fee Schedule.
(Will be appointed at a future date by Resolution 2011-004)
Section 17. Animal Control. "ACSI" is appointed as the City animal control officer.
Adopted this 1 Oth day of January 2011.
