RESOLUTION NO.2011-003
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE INDIAN OAKS COURT POND MAINTENANCE
PROJECT
WHEREAS,pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement of the Indian
Oaks Court Pond Maintenance Project, bids were received on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at
10:00 a.m., opened, and tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
BIDDER JAMOUNT
Belair Excavating $ 18,713.00
Arnt Construction $ 22,975.00
Rachel Contracting $ 28,750.00
Penn Contracting $ 31,550.00
North Valley $ 33,767.23
Carl Bolander& Sons $ 48,460.00
AND WHEREAS, it appears that Belair Excavating of New Brighton, Minnesota is the
lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of$18,713.00;
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN
HILLS,MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Belair Excavating of New Brighton, Minnesota, for $18,713.00 in the name
of the City of Arden Hills for the above improvements according to the plans and
specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of
the City Administrator.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 10th DAY OF
JANUARY,2011.
