SUBJECT: Resolution 2011-004 Relating to the Organization af the
City of Arden Hills
Back�round
Each y�ar the City is required to designate official depositaries, the official newspaper,
statutary authority, and appointrnents. Attached is the organ�zational resolution far the
year 2011. At the January 10, 20 i 1, meeting the Council approved Resolution 2011-001
Relating to the Organiza�ian of the City of Arden Hills. At that time Section 6, Liaisons,
was not part of the resolution and this topic was discussed at the January 18, 2011,
Co�cil Work Session.. Now that the Liaison appointments are ready to be made, the
organizatio�lal resolutian is being presented in its entirety for Council review and
approval.

BE IT RES�LVED by the Ci�y af Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota {City} as
follows:
Section 1. Official De osito . Pursuant to Minnesota Staiuies, Chapter 11 SAA2,
Subdivision l, the City Cauncil designates �lie �ollowing frnancial institutions as official
depasitories for municipal funds:
a) US Banlc
b) Affiniry Plus Federal Credit Union
c) Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.

Section 2. Official Newspaper. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.831, the

The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to enter inta agreements with the official
n�wspapers far the publication of iterns requixed by Iaw to be published.
Section 3. Mavor Pro-Tem. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.121, Council
Mernber Fran Halmes is appointed Mayor Pro-Tem and is to perforrn the duties of the
Mayor during the absence or disquaiiiication o� the Mayor or in the case of a vacancy in
the o�fice of the Mayor.

Section 7. Re�ular Council Meetin�s. The regular rrxeeting of the City Council of Arden
Hills is to be held on the second and last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.rr�. in the City
Hall.
Section 8. City At�orney. The frm of Petersan, Fram and Bergman is appointed City
Attorney with Jerry Filla as primary City Attorz�ey.
Section 9. Financial Consul�an�. The firm Ehlers & Associates, Inc. is appointed
financial consultant.
Section 10. �n�ineer. The Public Warks Director, Terry Maurer is appointed City
Engineer.
Section ] 1. Auditor. The firm Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich and Company
{MMKR) is appointed City Auditor.
Section 12. Xnsurance Cansultant. D.C. Fields is appointed insurance consultant with
Mark Lenz as principal consultani.
