Re uested Action
Motion to award the 20ll Tree Removal Services to Precision Landscape and Tree at the
attached 2010 rate schedule.
Background
In January of 2010, quates were solicited for the City tree removal services. Four
companies subrnitted quotes. Precision Landscape and Tree, located in Little Canada
submitted �Iie lowest overall quote. Within the 2010 agreement, it states if the City is
satisfied with the performance of the selected contractor, ihe agreement rnay be e�tended to
the 2011 calendar year, with no inereased costs to ttle City. Precision notified the City
through email that they woulcl like to extend their 2010 priczng another year through 2011.
Therefare, staf€' recarru�ends exiending the agreement through 2011. Precision Landscape
and Tree has been our Tree Removal Service since 2007. The Ciiy continues to be very
satisf ed with the service we receive frorn Precis�on Landscape and Tree. The 2010 rate
schedule and confirmation email from Precision Landscape and Tree are included for
Council review.
Bud�et
The 2011 Tree Removal Budget was set at $35,000.

Staff recommends a mofiion to award the 2011 Tree Removal Services to Precision
Landscape and Tree at the attached 2010 rate scheduie.
