Delinquent Utilities
Background•
A list of utiiity acco�nts with a past due baiance as of Octob�r l, 2010 was compiled. Those
�tility customers and property owners were notified in early Octaber of their delinquent account
status azad were asked to pay the delinquent balance by November 30, 2010. U�ility accounts
with an unpaid delinquent balance after November 30�' would be certified to Ramsey County to
be added to property ta.�es payable in 2011. The certification amount is equal to the uzipaid
delinquent balance ar�d an eight percent penaity.
Discussion•
The Iist of delinquent utility accounts, as of Decem�er 3, 201 d, is attached. The Ciiy will request
that Ramsey County levy the delinquent balances against the respective properties.
Recommended Action:
Mation to approve Resolution 2010-077 and certifying the attached list of delinquent utility
accounts to Ramsey County.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-077
RE�OLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMiNG ANNUAL SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
FOR DEL�NQUENT UTILITIES
WHEREAS, the amount to be specially assessed £or DELIN UENT UTILITIES has
been duly calculated in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Code and Minnesota
Statutes; azad
WHEREAS, notices have been duly mailed as required by law; and
WHEREAS, said proposed assessments ha�e at all times since their filing been open for
public inspections, and an opportunity has beer� given to all iz�terested parties to present
objections, z�any, to the praposed assessments; and
WHEREA�, there were no oral or written objections recei�ed.
1. The amounts so calculated and set forth in said notices are hereby l�vied against
the arespective parcels af land described therein, and
2. The proposed assess�nents are hereby adopted and confirmed as special
assessments for each of said parcels of land azad the assessmen�s tiogether with an
additional penalty of ei�ht percent f8%) of the original unpaid arnauni, inclusive
of any previous delinquency penalty, sha11 be a lie� concurrent with general taxes
upon such parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE �T RESOLVED by the Ciiy Council of the Cxty of Arden
Hills, Minnesota, that the City Administratar be autihorized azad directed to transmii to the
County Auditoar a certified duplicate of the assessment roll to be extended upon the property tax
lists of the Couzrty, and the County Auditor shall collect said special assessments with taxes
levied in 2010, payable in 2011.
