SUBJECT: Consolidated Dispatch Center Update
Call Response
The County did track down the source of a recorded message related to a 911 call. The recorded
message was generated by the phone system in the office building from which the call was made.
Staffing Study
As indicated in the most recent update, the County is in the process of selecting a consultant to
conduct a staffing study regarding the consolidated dispatch center, as staffing levels and related
training issues are the most common concerns expressed regarding the operation of the center.
The results of the study are due in April of 2009. The next consolidated dispatch center update
will be provided when the results of the study are available.
