SUBJECT: Resolution 20� 1-015: Appointment of Don Messerly to the Parks Trails
and Recreation Cornmittee
BACKGROUND
There axe four vacant positions on the Parks Trails and Recreation Cammiitee (PTRC). Don
Messerly resigned from the PTRC 'rn May of 201�. M�. Messerly has since that time shown
interest in returning to the cornrnittee. He has attended the last couple of regular PTRC
meetings. Mr. Messerly recently emailed staff indicating his desire to return to �ixe committee.
The PTRC ChairrYa�z Steve Scott, Council Liaison Ed Werner and I determined that since Mr.
Messerly had been a recent member, an interview would not be necessary. A recommendation
rn�as sent to �he Mayor and he has asked to put this on tonight's City Council agenda.

A RESOLUTION APPOYNTING DON MESSERLY TO THE
PARKS TRAYLS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the C'rry Cauncil appoints residents to serve in an advisory capaeity to the
City Council regardir�g cornmunication of City business to residents;
THEREFORE, BE IT RES�LVED: The City Council appaints Don Messerly to serve
on the Parks Trails and Recreatzon Committee until December 31, 2012.
