The schedule is designed to be a guide and is not intended to �e considered a schedule set in stone. The �ampson Park half basketball court is a rough. asphalt surface. The reconstruct proposed would remove the existing rough asphalt, replace asphalt and cover with the aczylic two color surface. The court size would be approximately 30 x 40. This court has never had a nice paved court with an acrylic surface. Sampson and Valentine Park are the last two rough s�rface courts to be completed in the City. We recanstructed Freeway Park in 2009 and Ingersan Paxk had a recanstruct done in 2010 due to deteriorating court conditions. Photas ai the current conditians are i�cluded for Cauncil review. The Valentine Park basketball surface is listed on ihe schedul� for impravement in 2011. However, that court vvill be improved during the prapased park redevelopment. Therefare, staff is recom�ending that Arden Manor be rnoved up on ihe resurface schedule from 20�2 ia 2011. This is a full court that needs a resurface wiih the acrylic painted surface. This co�ut was constructed in 2000 when ihe park was redone and has not had any mainienance done sznce that time. Photos of the current canditions are included for Council review. Arden Manor, Sampson Park and Valentine Park are the last hard court surfaces to be improvea since we started our new b-8 year resurface pl�n. The �chedule will now roll over and courts will be in much better conditivn. Bud�et The Special Revenue Park Fund cannot be utilized for maintenance projects and tl�exefore, staff budgeted $15,000 from the general fuzad in 2011 for both hard court maaintenance and trail rnaintenance. The City has never worked with this company in the past. Staff �ound they have a good reputation in the hard court surfacing industry. They have over forty five years experience in the recreational indusiry. They ha�e done work for clients such as: City of Shorevier�v, Cr�tin High School, Carlton College, City of Brainerd and Brainerd High School.
